Expert Panelists
The Expert Panelists are university administrators, consultants
and others who bring legal, regulatory, university business practices,
and entrepreneurial skills to the Project. The Panel will support
the Partners and Tribunes via participation in online seminars and
at a minimum of five scheduled face-to-face meetings. The Expert
Panelists include:
- Dr. Theodore Alter --- Dr. Alter, Penn
State University, is Associate Vice President for Outreach, Director
of Cooperative Extension, and Associate Dean in the College of
Agricultural Sciences.
- Marcia Bromberg -- Ms. Bromberg
is the Chief Financial Officer of the new Nellie Mae Foundation.
She offers advice on best business practices for University Public
Television organizations.
- Mark Erstling -- Mr. Erstling is
Senior Vice-President, America's Public Television Stations, Inc.
and former General Manager of WPSX-TV and WPSU-FM, Penn State
University. He brings to the project his experience as a PTV manager
and perspective as Public Television's senior lobbyist in Washington,
DC.
- Irwin Feller -- Dr. Feller is director
of the Institute for Policy Research and Evaluation (IPRE) and
Professor of Economics at The Pennsylvania State University (Penn
State), where he has been on the faculty since 1963.
- Paula Jameson, Esq. -- Previously
with the Washington law firm Arter & Hadden, Ms.Jameson now serves
as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Gibson Guitar
Corporation in Nashville, Tennessee.
- Dr. Kevin Reilly -- Dr. Reilly was
named as Chancellor of University of Wisconsin-Extension in July
2000. Prior to this position, Dr. Reilly served as Provost and
Vice Chancellor. He will provide advice on relations between the
management of public television stations and the administration
of colleges and universities.
- Dr. James H. Ryan -- Dr. Ryan serves
as Penn State's first Vice President for Outreach and Cooperative
Extension.
- Albert Selvin -- Mr. Selvin is currently
Senior Member of Technical Staff at Bell Atlantic Network Systems
Advanced Technology in White Plains, New York, where he has worked
since 1991. He will offer expertise regarding business process
redesign using "World Modeling" concepts supported by Project
Compendium tools and QuestMap software.
- Michael Skindrud, Esq. -- Mr. Skinrud
is Managing Partner of the Madison law firm LaFollette and Sinykin.
He has been instrumental in establishing the charter for the Learning
Innovations Center and will provide expertise regarding public-private
partnerships.
- William Speakman -- Director of
Outreach Development, Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Speakman
will provide expertise in the area of PTV and University Extension
fundraising strategies.
- David J. Ward -- Dr. Ward is UW System
Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. He will provide advise
on interacting with academic departments and faculty on matters
related to delivery of education via new technology.
