Biographical Sketch
Muriel Oaks is currently Associate Vice President for Extended University Services at Washington State University, where she has been involved for 16 years with educational telecommunications and distance education. EUS is responsible for off campus credit and noncredit programs, including extended degree programs offered entirely by distance education. Muriel is the former director of the Washington Higher Education Telecommunication System (WHETS), a two-way video interactive system sharing courses and videoconferencing services among ten sites in Washington. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Idaho, masters and Ph.D. from Washington State University.
Muriel Oaks represents WSU-EUS on the Reforging the Links project.
